Virtual Tour - Cove Radio Station

You've made it to the former site of Cove Radio Station which stood until the mid 1990s close to Southwood Farm (now the Monkey Puzzle pub) off Ively Road. Today the site has been redeveloped into The Lawns area of Southwood. Image 6 shows the entrance to The Lawns as it is today, close to the former entrance to the radio station. Details of the planning process for this redevelopment are still available on Hampshire County Council's web site from 1995. Today, the name of Cove Radio Station endures through the site located adjacent to the Qinetiq site and close to Norris Roundabout and Pyestock woods (image 5).
