Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.
One of these redevelopments saw the Fir Tree Inn which was sited at the eastern end of Lynchford Road close to North Camp station. The pub's demise was hastened with road developments when the Blackwater Valley relief road was built in the early 1990s and the pub closed in the late 1990s.
Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of the Fir Tree Inn to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
