The history of Farnborough is not just based around buildings and locations, but also the people and events that have taken place. From the international airshows to wartime parades, to local sporting events, to the musical picnics and fairs on King George V playing fields, these are all part of Farnborough's social history. The images in this gallery remind us of some of the events that Farnborough has played host to over the years.
Whatever the year, whether its 1900 or 2000, if you have photos or memories of events that have taken place in the town why not send them to us so everyone can remember them.
