Gone but not forgotten - Farnborough Grammar School/Secondary School

Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.

One of these redevelopments saw the site at the junction of Farnborough Road and Church Avenue, next to the Technical College (formerly the site of Castleden Hall), as home to both Farnborough Grammar School and Secondary School vanish to become a car park of the college, before redevelopment of the site by the college in 2009 led to the opening of the college's Aerospace & Automotive Academy in 2010.

Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of the former school to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
