Gone but not forgotten - Manor Farm house

Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.

One of these redevelopments saw the former Manor Farm house on the East side of Rectory Road disappear, close to what was once known as Laundry Hill. The Laundry Hill area still exists a little further East from St. Peter's School (formerly Farnborough Place manor house) but the Manor Farm house has been lost to residential developments, with Manor Road being the only visible nod to the former farm.

Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of the Manor Farm house to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
