Gone but not forgotten - Stake Cottages

Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.

One of these redevelopments saw Stake Cottages, close to the former Stake Farm, disappear owing to residential development. Stake Cottages were situated the northern side of the railway bridge, in the area now occupied by Stake Lane and Brewer Close and parts of the Southern side of West Heath Road close by.

Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of Stake Cottages to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
