Gone but not forgotten - Stake Farm

Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.

One of these redevelopments saw Stake Farm, one of the many farms in the area in the early 20th century disappear. The farm covered land north of West Heath Road, with the former farm house sited in the area now occupied by Romayne Close, Squirrel Avenue and Beta Road.

Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of Stake Farm to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
