Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.
One of these redevelopments saw the knocking down of the impressive Tile Barn House which had been built by the Empress Eugenie to accomodate her staff. Today, the site of the former house is occupied by Tile Barn Close off the Prospect Road, and in close proximity to the Farnborough Hill estate.
