Virtual Tour - Trenchard House

You've made it to Trenchard House, the headquarters of the former Royal Flying Corp, and the site of the creation of the Royal Airforce. Today it is home to the Farnborough Air Sciences museum, and in 2008 the Cody Flyer Pavilion was built (images 6-8) behind Trenchard House to hold the replica of Samuel Cody's British Army Aeroplane No.1 which carried out the first powered flight over Farnborough on October 16th, 1908. Also see the Samuel Cody Centenary Gallery.

Where to now? Next door is one of the entrances to the former site of Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), with the Swan Inn next door to the North, the old RAE South Gate close by, Farnborough Common behind, the Farnborough Road running in both directions and Castleden Hall and Belgrave House School nearby. For the full list of locations nearby, pick where you want to go next from the menu on the right.
