Virtual Tour - Victoria Road

You've made it to Victoria Road, a busy shopping street linking Cove with the centre of Farnborough. Image 9 shows Tom and Doreen Elliot pushing their daughter in their pram. This information about the photo is courtesy of Linda Elliot. Although taken from different positions, images 13 and 23 show how the former residential feel to Victoria Road has been eroded to make way for more commercial premises with the former semi-detached houses making way for a modern office building.

Where to now? The Victoria Road Chapel is nearby with High View Road, Elm Grove Road and the former RAE railway, Spooner's Forge, Taylor and Tanner premises, Wright Bros store, and to the West are the former sites of the Alma Inn in Cove, Instone's Garage, the Queens Head, the Solartron factory, Cove Pond, West Heath Corner, Elmsleigh Road, Fleet Road and Cove Radio Station, with Farnborough Road, the Clockhouse, and the former site of Brands Removals store to the East. To the South lies the former Rex Cinema and the former Queensmead shopping centre, along with Farnborough Recreation Centre. And to the North lies the busy Farnborough Station joining London with the South and the former Oaks school. For the full list of locations nearby, pick where you want to go next from the menu on the right.
