Virtual Tour - Victoria Road Chapel

You've made it to the Victoria Road Chapel, now sadly derelict. The cemetery is the resting place of many of Farnborough's most influential figures - to find out more read the history behind the cemetery.

Image 8 shows the path leading to the Victoria Road gate, opposite the Alexandra Road, which is now longer in use, and image 10 shows the path which used to lead to the old Sexton's gate, but which is also no longer in use. The cemetery can now only be accessed from the Union Street gate.

Where to now? Close by is Elm Grove Road, High View Road, and the former RAE railway, Spooner's Forge, Taylor and Tanner premises, Wright Bros store, and to the West are Elmsleigh Road, and the former sites of the Alma Inn in Cove, the Queens Head, the Solartron factory, and Cove Pond, with Farnborough Road, the Clockhouse, and the former site of Brands Removals store to the East. To the South lies the ageing Queensmead shopping centre, due for imminent redevelopment. And to the North lies the busy Farnborough Station joining London with the South.
