Virtual Tour - Wilmot House

You've made it to the former site of Farnborough's workhouse, Wilmot House, based in Union street, today replaced by more modern housing. Wilmot House ceased to house the poor in 1868.

Where to now? Close by is the former site of Greencroft School. To the East is the Clockhouse and the former sites of Brands Removals store, Coombe Farm and the lodge houses to Farnborough Place. To the West is Elm Grove Road, the former RAE railway, Victoria Road Chapel, High View Road, and Victoria Road leading towards Cove and Southwood. The former site of Queensmead and Farnborough Recreation Centre are also nearby. For the full list of locations nearby, pick where you want to go next from the menu on the right.
