Gone but not forgotten - Windmill Hill

Over the years more than 100 different locations in Farnborough have either been demolished or redeveloped for various reasons, taking away a little part of the town's history in the process.

One of these redevelopments witnessed the original house on Farnborough Hill, Windmill Hill, being pulled down by then owner Thomas Longman who built Farnborough Hill, only for it to be expanded further when in the ownership of Empress Eugenie.

Currently we are trying to source an old photograph of Windmill Hill to feature here. If you have a photo of this location that you'd like to share with Historic Farnborough please either use our submission facility or contact us. Once we have a historic photo to share this location will be added to the virtual tour of historic Farnborough.
